About Turn and Burn Games

In February of 2021 during peak COVID, I embarked on some spring cleaning and a couple of my old baseball binders surfaced. Thousands of players organized by name, set and team. All Near Mint. I kept a few of my favorites but wanted to sell some duplicates. In fact, younger me wanted older me to do that. A fifteen-year gap warranted some investigative work on eBay and unfortunately, despite having some great players, the cards were printed in oblivion and weren't worth much at all. That's ok though, I was still happy to have all these cards again and the nostalgia alone was worth dusting them off.

 

I thought, if those mint baseball cards aren't worth anything, the shoe box full of played Pokémon cards (pictured left) for sure isn't worth anything. Boy was I wrong. And I wasn't selling. In fact, I doubled down and bought and traded in the proceeding days. I was missing a couple cards from base set so I met someone local to trade with. I was hooked.

 

Over the next couple years, what was once a hobby now has 7,000 sales on TCG Player (99.9% positive feedback), eBay and even Facebook Groups where I've built a strong online reputation. My mission for Turn and Burn Games is to provide trusted products for a great value (especially Pokemon TCG Live Codes) as well as commit to be a positive light in the TCG space.
